Who you are agreeing with

ALMA (Alianza Latina de Mentoría y Apoyo) is an unincorporated volunteer community project in New Castle County, Delaware. By using this site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

What ALMA is not

We are neighbors, not professionals acting in a professional capacity. Nothing on this site is legal, immigration, financial, tax, medical or mental health advice, and reading it does not create any professional relationship with you.

ALMA is not affiliated with any religious, political or government organization, and sharing a campaign is not an endorsement of any group connected to the person we are helping.

ALMA is not a registered charity. Donations made through fundraisers we link to are personal gifts and are not tax deductible. Speak with a tax professional about your own situation.

Donations and fundraisers

We do not collect, hold, transfer or administer donations. Every give button takes you to a third party fundraising platform, where your payment, refunds, fees and payout are governed entirely by that platform's own terms and privacy policy.

We share campaigns we believe in after speaking with the person or family, but we cannot guarantee any outcome, any amount raised, or how a recipient ultimately spends funds sent directly to them.

Information and outside links

We try hard to keep information accurate and current, and we still cannot promise it is complete or up to date. Rules and resources change. Verify anything important with the organization that issued it before you rely on it.

This site links to other organizations and platforms. We do not control them and we are not responsible for their content, practices or availability.

What you send us

Send only information you have the right to share. If you send us a story, a photo or details about another person, you confirm that person agreed to it. By sending us content you give us permission to use it for ALMA's community work, and you can withdraw that permission at any time by telling us.

Do not use this site to harass anyone, to misrepresent a need, to solicit for an unrelated cause, or to attempt to break, scrape or overload it.

Our content

The ALMA name, logo, text and design on this site belong to us. You are welcome to share and quote our campaign posts to help spread the word. Please do not present our material as your own or use our name to raise money without our written permission.

Limits of responsibility

This site and everything on it is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, ALMA and the volunteers behind it are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site, from information you found here, or from a donation you made through a third party platform.

Some places do not allow certain limits on liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, and any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms, and the date at the top of this page will say when. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it. Questions about anything here can come straight to us.
